Adults 18+ only · Zero tolerance

Child Safety Standards

MOOD Social & Dating is for adults. Here is how we keep children off it, what we do about child sexual abuse and exploitation, and how to reach us.

Effective: October 21, 2026

Adults only

MOOD Social & Dating is for adults 18 and older. Minors are not allowed to use it, for any reason. MOOD Social & Dating is operated by Venchur Ave Inc.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). On MOOD Social & Dating, nobody may:

  • Share, request, sell or link to any sexual image or video of a person under 18
  • Groom a minor, which means building trust with a child in order to abuse or exploit them
  • Sexualise a minor in any way, in words, pictures, role-play or comments
  • Use sexual images to threaten or blackmail a minor (sextortion)
  • Arrange to meet a minor, or offer, buy or traffic a minor, for sexual purposes
  • Help or encourage anyone else to do any of these things

This applies everywhere on MOOD Social & Dating: profiles, photos, chats, games and events.

What we do

  • Age check at sign-up. Every member must give their date of birth when they create an account. The app will not let anyone younger than 18 continue, and our servers separately reject any date of birth that makes someone under 18, both at sign-up and if it is ever changed. A member without a date of birth on file cannot use chat, the grid or other member features.
  • Minors are removed. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we ban it.
  • CSAE means a ban. Any account involved in child sexual abuse or exploitation is banned. A banned account is shut down: it is signed out everywhere, cannot sign in again, and no longer appears in the grid for other members to find. If a banned member deletes their account, we keep a protected fingerprint of their email address and phone number so they cannot sign up again with them.
  • CSAM is removed and reported. We remove child sexual abuse material and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement, as the law requires.
  • We keep the evidence. We keep reports, the chat messages attached to them, and the records of the accounts involved, so they can be given to NCMEC and law enforcement.
  • We work with law enforcement. We cooperate with police and other authorities investigating the abuse or exploitation of children, and respond to valid legal requests.

How to report a concern

In the app: open the profile of the member you are worried about, or your chat with them, tap the menu, and choose Report Profile. Pick a reason (Illegal Acts fits a child safety concern), tell us what you saw, and add screenshots if you have them. A report made from a chat also keeps a copy of the recent messages in that chat for our review. Every report is reviewed by a person on our team.

By email: write to our child safety contact at [email protected]. Put "Child Safety" in the subject line and include the member's name or username and what you saw. Please do not attach or forward any sexual image of a child. Describe it and we will take it from there.

If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number first. You can also report child sexual exploitation directly to NCMEC's CyberTipline at CyberTipline.org or 1-800-843-5678.
